Our family had a great experience with Merciful Care. Engles was the caregiver for our 92 year old father. He provided quality and compassionate care in our father’s home. He was committed to being at Dad’s side when we needed him. It was obvious he cared. Dad was treated with respect and dignity. Communication with us was good. He was on time, fixed meals/snacks, and at the end of the day would fill us in on how Dad’s day went. When Dad had medical appointments, Engles transported him, and took him inside. We appreciated Engles taking him to the park, or just a walk around the neighborhood. And when our brother unexpectedly passed anway, Engles assisted us in getting Dad to the memorial service. Ultimately our father was hospitalized and Engles stayed with him through the night, until he passed away in the morning. Dad was never alone. We are very grateful for the attentive and quality care our father received. Thank you so much!
In the fall of 2023, I was in need of a great deal of care after passing out from pneumonia, falling, and breaking my C-1 vertebrae. Fortunately, we were able to get a very positive referral from a neighbor of ours, who had hired Angel to care for her husband. After we reached out to Angel, he responded quickly and we met him soon to discuss our needs and what help he could provide in our home. I was spending much of the day in a rented hospital bed, had a walker for moving about in the house, and wore a protective collar on my neck. We quickly retained his services as a Certified Nursing Aide, which continued for about 3 months. He also referred us to another reliable and effective CNA, who provided services on those days that Angel was not available. During that time, Angel arrived promptly in the morning Monday through Friday, stayed later or found other coverage when required, and took care of everything I needed. This included helping me get up in the morning, hand washing my body, examining me and addressing any cuts or other abrasions requiring treatment, checking my vital signs, cooking and serving my food, assisting me as I began to walk, and handling anything else my wife or I asked him to do. As a result of Angel’s care, I was able to successfully complete the first stage of my recovery.
